Just out of interest.

Press on with the league, aim for top 6/7 for europe

or

FA cup final

with our current form, so many big boys out, we have never in my memory been in a position to do well in the cup like we are now.

Both can be acheived lol, but tbh i prefer us to concentrate more on the prem, remaining in the top half in our concern

I'd love a cup final, but I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility to have both.

Imagine the publicity we could get being further up the prem, more players will be drawn to us, we will have greater respect than before, and bigger signings over a period of times

If we won the FA cup or lost in the final to a team already in Europe then we would qualify for Europe which would help attract players.

FA Cup for me

Nobody cares about the fa cup anymore, its not as popular as it once was,

thats a bs media portrayal which has happened in the past couple of years when 1 or 2 big boys drop out.

This season with more big boys out they have upped this even more.

For most fans the FA Cup will always be something special.

We have waited since 56 to reach the final, look at what happened when we got to the prem after 16 years...imagine if we won the cup....it would be amazing to watch and celebrate.

Who is nobody? I care about the FA Cup and i'm sure most fans would love us to win it, as would the fans of most teams.

Check all of the attendances, its lower then premier leuge games, i love the fa, i love everygame blues are in and i want them to do well, but a few years ago it was like doubled in attendances, fully sold out, that is what i meant

Again, I wuld say that was due to the wether as much as anything as attendances this week were ok, fairly stead and back to usual.

I make one of these up, everyone says it's a stupid post.

Two more people make them, and everyone likes 'em, can't win with you people. :(

I believe pompey`s cup winning year coincided with a good league campaign, so with some clubs both go hand in hand where as some cup runs can detract from the main priority which,, for all clubs is the league. The run blues are (hopefully) in the middle of is as a result of momentum, and so the old maxim "success breeds sucess" and yes, why not both. I suppose injuries, suspensions, and quality of transfer window signings will eventually dictate the season`s outcome.

FA Cup, every time.

In fact, even if it meant relegation I'd find it difficult not to take winning the trophy. The prestige attached to winning it can never be taken away.

Assuming we are safe in the Premiership, then we would do ourselves a huge service as a club by winning the FA Cup, if we can. So my tactics would be, do what we need to continue to progress in the cup, at any sign of failing to stay in the Premiership, revert to that as no 1 priority.

Years from now I'd much rather be talking about having won the FA Cup in 09/10, than finishing top 10 (unless it's 1st of course).

FA Cup for me.

I think the league, because that would project the players efforts over 38 games and show how hard theyve worked, where as an FA cup final would be on the back of 5/6 games or however many ...

Would love a good cup run, and it is very exiciting being in the cup, but I would love to cement ourselves in a position of 8+

Following on from yesterdays cake remark which I must admit I didnt get. :D

I would like my cake and eat it please. Then I want more cake with double cream followed by trifle with hundreds and thousands.

McLeish and Aitkin have asked a question of the players can they do better in the latter half of the season than they have in the first. They just keep asking the players to put the performances in and they keep doing this.

As a result themselves and us are reaping the rewards. Pressing on with league is vital because we arent safe yet and every place is worth 500k.
The FA Cup is a one of the greatest competitions in the world. Forget what anyone says there are two competitions in England. League and FA cup.

Who ever wins one of these has made history pure and simple.
